To those around the world who bought tickets to see Alicia Vikander’s Tomb Raider reboot, fans in America thank you, because it was reported today that a sequel script is finally in the works. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Free Fire screenwriter Amy Jump is at work on a new screenplay that should by law require Vikander to do at least twice as many pull-ups as she did in the first movie. (That’s a lot of pull-ups, but we believe in the lithe adventurer’s mighty muscles to handle the work.) The first movie cost around $100 million to make, and only brought in $58 million at the domestic box office, which is why there are a lot of thank-you notes that need to go out to international Raider fans — especially those in China, France, and the U.K., who really showed out for Vikander and her climbing ax. … [Read more...] about Alicia Vikander’s Pull-Ups Pay Off With a

Robin Thede Wore a Beyoncé Hoodie for Emmy Luck, Obviously
We at Vulture recently published a piece about your Seth Meyers interview, with the headline “Our Future Depends on Listening to Robin Thede.” I think this might be correct.Laughs.] Well, it’s funny because right now, not only are people talking about the sketch show, but a lot of my late-night clips are resurfacing. I have a piece that we did on gerrymandering that has to do with how Republicans are changing the lines and districts to count prisons in their population so that they look more diverse. Prisoners obviously cannot vote, but they count those people towards resources, so they get more money for their schools while counting people who can’t even vote. There’s lots of stuff that’s relevant to the election, but also to Black Lives Matter, when that was going on. My Rundown pieces always end up resurfacing when people decide to care about race. That’s what Seth was saying. He was like, “I feel like between your late-night show and this, we should have been listening to you.” I’m like, “I mean, it would have made everything easier.” … [Read more...] about Robin Thede Wore a Beyoncé Hoodie for Emmy Luck, Obviously

’s Victoria Feels ‘Liberated’ That Her Mugshot Was Leaked
Last week, Bachelor viewers got a temporary reprieve from Victoria’s onscreen bullshit when they realized that her past life was less queenly and more plebeian: She was arrested in 2012 for attempting to shoplift food and cosmetics from a Florida supermarket, which resulted in several months of probation and a new dye job. Fresh off her most petulant episode yet, Victoria appeared Tuesday morning on Good Morning America to confirm that, yes, a Publix took her down and, also yes, that’s indeed her mugshot, but she’s glad we all know about it now. “When the story initially broke, I called my dad of course,” she explained. “He was like, How do you feel? And I was like, I feel liberated. Everything is exposed. I can tell my future husband to Google me. I have no secrets to hide.” (Well, with that verbiage, safe to say it’s not Matt James.) … [Read more...] about ’s Victoria Feels ‘Liberated’ That Her Mugshot Was Leaked
