This book is costly in accordance with the contents. The title of the book is very much misleading.
The book was surprisingly short and contained some excercises which were not very well linked on my kindle (couldnt find the text, only the questions).
Nevertheless, as I studied for the IELTS I came to appreciate the book. Namely it contained some useful tips. I believe these helped me raise my score somewhat. I scored better than I have expected. Also, the way that the book is brief and repeats itself made it a good last minute study material.
In general, IELTS is a very nasty exam. It tests your cobcentration and bladder control as much as your English. However it is quite effective at testing your actual language skills so all your efforts to prepare for it will give you little results (I estimate that you can get a max of +1,5 points).
So don’t get your hopes up that this or any other learning material will help you cheat the evaluators.
My first purchase to prepare for the IELTS was almost $100, and it did not build my confidence one bit before the exam. This book though, which was only $9.99 on my Kindle (so I was able to take it everywhere conveniently) taught me everything I needed to know. As daunting as it was, I went in SO much more sure of myself and the English language. I loved it because of the step by step instructions and the fact that it goes over EVERY type of question and spells it out for you. Some of my friends have the IELTS coming up and I let them borrow this book because I know it would help them like it helped me and get them the score they needed!
One of the best books for IELTS. It is very detailed in explanation and the best parts were the tests included in the book.
Bought it for my wife and she got the score she wanted! It made the IELTS exam very easy to nderstand. Would highly recommend this book to anyone preparing for IELTS tests.
