    It certainly isn’t a book made for looks as the cover is pretty cheesy looking, there are typos in certain sections. However, the content is good; I have learned a lot about muscles, proteins, and exercise that I didn’t really understand before. Plus, I have been using this book for only two weeks so far and I am so impressed by the results I am seeing using his workout plans.

    I read and have re-read some portions of this book. As I have applied the principles,nutritional advice and techniques described in this book I began to see results fast. I have lost about 7 lbs and am sculpting my midsection. A great book by someone who knows what he is talking about.

    Rich knows more about weightlifting and nutrition than anyone I’ve ever met. It’s like they took his brain and just spread out all of his formal education onto every one of these pages. If you were ever wondering how different rep ranges effect size and strength, or what supplements are beneficial for fat loss or muscle gain, this book will answer all of your questions.

    The workout suggestions and techniques in this book are great too, he includes a lot of customized information and routines depending on what path you are trying to take. Well worth the purchase.

    The book is written with a smart approach. Unlike other publications, where the focus is limited on certain types of diets (to push a line of supplements or diet books) or exercises, this book goes into details about the science and explains why certain food or supplements complement your exercising, and it allows individuals of various fitness levels to find their comfort zone to start their fitness program and meet their targeted goal(s). It allows the reader to reject or understand some of the dieting and exercising dogmas. It is useful for me in the gym and it helps me understand the benefits of some food items or supplements. I recommend the book, and I actually purchased 10 books and gave them as gifts to my friends and colleagues at work.

    I have only had a chance to read the first half of the book, but from what I have read so far I really believe this book is a great read. The author does a great job of breaking down the science behind what happens in the body and building upon this knowledge in later chapters. I really appreciate the way the author does not limit himself to one type of gym-goer. Being an avid lifter, I believe that the intermediate to advanced person can get just about as much out of this book as a novice. This book in my opinion presents much of the information necessary to be successful no matter if your goal is to lose weight or build muscle. I have encouraged all my friends to buy this book and will continue to do so.
